How do you know if you need a prep spray pretan?

• Do your clients show up for a spray tan session unprepared/uncleaned?
• Client coming in with sweaty or oily skin? (common in humid locations)
• Do clients complain of uneven tans, streaking, blotches?
• Are you seeing green discoloration in arm pits or behind knees, or other skin areas? (this is from deodorant, perfume, cosmetics and/or sweat on skin)

Recommended Directions:

• Use immediately before spray tanning session, mist on using any spray equipment or a hand-held spray bottle and/or wetted cloth. (Pro Tech Tip: prewarm a prep spray wetted cloth in a microwave for a warm spa like client experience)
• Wipe/Buff off excess product and residue with a soft cloth, prior to tanning session.
• Additional product may be needed for areas with buildup. (thick moisturizers, body butters, creams, heavy skin oils, thick antiperspirant coverage etc.)
• Pour excess prep from spray cup, and fill applicator cup with tanning solution, and spray client.
• No need to rinse cup, after pouring out excess prep.
• Approx. use per client is 1 oz., adjust based on skin cleansing amount needed.
• Most clients, depending on their skin needs, will find for optimal tan color, and wear long-term, they should normally exfoliate regularly pre-tan when possible.
